Subaru returns marginally better highway ratings and has a larger gas tank capacity that offers a class-leading driving range. The Honda CR-V is the most fuel-efficient offering on the list along with the Subaru Forester.

The sizable 15.6-gallon fuel tank capacity compensates for the lackluster fuel economy to some extent and offers a pretty decent driving range of roughly 400 miles on a single tank of gas.

Sadly that's not the case here as it is rated by the EPA to return a maximum of 28 MPG while out on the highways and a combined rating of 26 MPG. The fact that the 2022 GMC Terrain AT4 isn't the quickest, one might expect good efficiency from the SUV. "Although it dons a distinctive look, the Terrain ultimately falls short when compared to segment standards." - CarAndDriver

The AT4 also does not get any advantage over the lower variants in the towing department which is standard 1,500 lbs. The AT4 takes a rather long 130 feet to come to a complete stop in the 0-60 mph braking test. The braking performance is nothing impressive either. This powertrain does the 0-60 MPH run in almost 10 seconds and covers the quarter-mile in a rather lethargic 17.3 seconds.
